Part 5 - A waste of a precious human life

Try asking such a person -

"Exactly what research have you done to come to this conclusion?"
There's usually no answer.
"You say there is no correct belief - so how have you investigated this?"
- No answer.
"Have you travelled to the ends of the Earth in search of guidance?"
- No, they haven't even travelled to the end of the street.
"If a message from the Creator of the universe was to come and hit you between the eyes, how would you even recognise what's happened? And if you did realise it, are you prepared to change your life according to it, and to live your life by it?"
- Probably not.
"Have you read widely in the philosophies, histories and cultures of the ancient Greeks, the Buddhist texts, the Chinese etc. before you come to your conclusion that there is no guidance?"
- No they haven't even read anything or discussed with anyone.
"Of all the objects whose creation you have witnessed, not a single one came into existence by itself, or without a creation process. So, why do you say that the detailed design of the natural world including the human body came out of nothing, and without being designed?"
- Silence is deafening.

Most people are ignorant about everything except their own lives. This ignorance is a disease they are afflicted with and every successive generation seems to contract it from the people who came before them.

In medicine, before a doctor tells a patient that there is nothing wrong with them, the complaint is thoroughly investigated with blood tests, scans and so on, and when we find nothing only then it be said that there is no diagnosis.

If someone asked a trivial question like "Why did you purchase that shirt?" or something as serious as "Why did you marry a particular person?" then most people are able to give detailed reasoning - because you thought what action to take.

However in Western society when many people are asked about their belief or what they believe their purpose of life is many of them have applied very little thought upon it.

It is shallow to avoid the question of how the Universe came about. It is not acceptable to let life pass without contemplating the basis on which life is built and organised.
