The intellectual belief leads to a comprehensive socio-political and economic system. Don't look at Islam from the basis of "Do I agree or like what it is saying or telling me to do?" Because your wondering whether certain practices are good or not does not determine whether it is correct or not. Similarily, your liking or disliking of it does not determine whether it is correct or not. Allah (swt) states in the Quran: "We have sent down to thee the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims." and "And if you all are in doubt about what I have revealed to My servant, bring a single surah like it, and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful." It is this challenge that has remained unanswered for over 1400 years, despite a desperate need for it to be answered. Not one scholar of the Arabic language has been able to write anything in the same style of Arabic as that of the Quran. The entire Islamic civilisation is based on this premise, all the practices, all the laws and customs. Allah (swt) says in the Quran: "And if you all are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Surah like it; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true.
